Oleochemicals fractionation plant

Solution

3V Technologies:
Thin film evaporation and distillation.

3V Competences:
Ability to configure complete concentration systems for highly thermosensitive products in corrosive environment.

Design:
Definition of operating conditions and coherent sizing of main equipment and ancillaries as well as coordination with several sub-suppliers (e.g. column packing vendors) to optimize the performances.

Build:
Build all process equipment and assemble modular and fully automated skids ready for final installation at customer site.

Operate:
Commissioning & start-up of the units.

Team

3V project team:
3V Tech Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Document Controller, I&C Engineer, Automation Engineer, Drafter.

Site of realisation:
United Kingdom.

Audience

Client industry:
Oleochemical.

Context

Project context:
Perform the fractionation and purification of two long chain fatty acids within fish oil refining application.

Project goal & client needs:
Supply of four complete units, each comprising two skids, to be installed in a new building including a thin film evaporator and distillation columns as main equipment as well as a comprehensive automation system with complete shop pre-assembly.

Results

Project execution timing:
15 months.

Project complexity:
Integration of the purification plant into a brownfield plant converted to a new production facility.
